Definitely A Weekend To Remember

Welcome back dolls!
Well, I made it through my first Thanksgiving where I did all of the cooking and hosting without a hitch!

We were extra excited for this Thanksgiving as it is the first year that we hosted at our house. In the years past, we had been in the middle of moving and such around this time of year but we finally broke that schedule! Naturally, because it was the first year at our house, I was determined and certain that we would do it all, just the two of us! No potluck, no assigned dishes, none of that! J and I worked hard to prepare a feast for 10 on our own and, it was a success!

Black Friday Quick Trip

Thanksgiving Day was spent prepping the meal starting at 6am! I woke up and made some coffee while J slept in a bit longer. By 9am, I had a mimosa in hand and the bird was cooking! My sister came over at 12 to do our Holiday pictures and the rest of my family came at 130. The rest of our day was spent watching the parade, eating delicious food with our family, watching football, and then naps...lots of naps. J and I did venture out around 7pm to Target and Old Navy. We picked up a few items then headed back home to snuggle and drink hot chocolate!

Friday I woke up pretty early and started putting the Thanksgiving decor away so we could work on setting up our winter wonderland. I found out that I did not have as much Christmas decor as I thought so, I made a quick two hour trip to Hobby Lobby...when I returned home, I made a turkey, cranberry sandwich with a side of stuffing and sweet potatoes then continued my decorating. By the time J got home, everything was all decked out. J had a ton of homework so my sister, Megan, and I hit the mall for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and a little shopping.

Saturday J left for work at 445 and I slept in until 9am!! That is the longest I have slept in a LONG time y'all. It was fabulous. I decided to go for a run an shed a few of these turkey day pounds. The pups and I went around our complex three times then we headed home so I could get ready. I picked Meg up and we headed to Tampa for a little more shopping before her flight left at 6. I drove back to Sarasota and met up with J. We decided on an impromptu date night featuring Kona Grill and Horrible Bosses 2-SO funny!
Sunday J went into work for a bit then we went out together to run a few quick errands and I worked on a package to send to his brother in Texas. We then continued our typical sunday routine: beer, bar food, and Pats!
