Uncertainty on a Friday.

...because that's a fabulous way to start your weekend...

So, I would like to think that I am one that doesn't complain often. I really try not to because in all honesty, I am a living a great life currently and we have all that we need to be happy however, sometimes uncertainty comes a knockin'. If you have been around Coffee&Glitter for a while, you will know that I have chosen to take this year off work to go back to school for special needs education and to travel with the support and encouragement from my sweet, sweet boyfriend and parents. I am so lucky and privileged to be able to do this and I do not take it for granted one bit.. the only issue is that I am sort of wondering if this was the right decision. I feel like I can not settle for any grade less than an 100% because I do not want to let anyone down. I literally had a break down last night at 2am when I couldn't figure out a math problem to save my life. With a lot of help from Pinterest quotes, as it was to late/early to confide in John, I kind of got it under control.

On a brighter note, I am linking up with

So, first off, I have finally finished my DIY table! More to come on this later but for now, here is a picture:

Also, I had the absolute pleasure of having a dinner date with these two studs on Tuesday.
(John and His Cousin, Jeff)
We went to the Cheesecake Factory and indulged in Mojitos, flatbreads, gumbo, and well, cheesecake, of course!

John was also on a mission the other night to prove to me that he was the 'cutest' child in the family so we found this adorable picture:
How's that for a #transformationtuesday??
Can you say #cutebabyalert between him&I?!

I also partook in my 7,000 steps around the park and then drinks at Brio with my life coach/second momma/ lifesaver

Thankfully, I have completed my assignments for this week so, I will be able to have a relaxing weekend with John and his family that will be in town! I hope each and everyone of you have great weekends as well!

  1. I totally know the feeling of uncertainty and being unsure about choices you make! Just know that you're doing you're best and that's all you can do, don't put so much pressure on yourself to be perfect! :)

    Love your table, it's beautiful!!

  2. Whatever that last drink is, it looks amazing!! I'm thinking of you lady - I've been down a similar road before with taking time off of work to go back to school and it's a challenge. Hope you got that math problem figured out ;) Have a good weekend!

  3. It happens! Uncertainty is one of those things in life but Im so glad you got it figured out!

  4. Oh you are the sweetest! Thank you for sharing your struggle on uncertainty (and oh yeah, all the fun things this week). Uncertainty is definitely ok! I have doubts about all sorts of things, and when I was school, I debated about my major for a whole year. I guess if I'd have any advice for you, not that you need it--and not that I have any more wisdom than you--it would be: Allow yourself some grace. You don't have to be perfect, you don't have to get 100 on everything! You just need to do the best you can. And ya know, if you find out this isn't exactly the right direction, don't beat yourself up. These are all steps you've got to take to get to where you want to be. And you'll find that when it's all said and done, a couple of seemingly "wrong" turns weren't wrong at all! :) Ok, that's it. <3

  5. Hey, so I found your blog on one of the link-ups I do and I love it. :) And according to your Bloglovin', you have less than 200 followers. So I nominated you for a Liebster Award. :)

  6. I understand the feeling of uncertainty. We have all been there before. I'm glad you got to have a good dinner date. I can't wait until you post more about the DIY table. It's beautiful! Thank you for linking up to H54F!
