Get Juiced! {Recipe}

I love juicing. I know there are a lot of opinions on the topic but for John and I, juicing has worked. We bought out juicer, a Juice Bullet back in December of 2013. I can honestly say that I have used it every week since.


My opinion on juicing which comes from my personal results and a lot of research is that like most things, it is good in moderation. We do not juice to skip meals. We do it to supplement. I will make a juice and drink it while I am eating a protein muffin for breakfast or when I am walking out the door, I will grab a cup of juice and a water to stay hydrated. Juicing gives me extra energy.

I will typically spend about 30 minutes every Sunday night prepping and juicing enough for 144oz. I will make two different juices for us to choose from through out the week so we don't get bored of the same one it equals out to 72oz. per carafe and about 10 oz. per day.


Orange Beets Kale (for 72oz.)
-15 Clementines
- 1/2 of a medium sized beet
-1 bunch of kale
-1 large carrot

peel the clementines, cut the beet into quarter sized chunks, break down the kale, and cut the carrot into fourths. throw in the juicer and you are good to go! 


Green Monster (for 72oz.)
-1 bunch of Kale
-1 1/2 handfuls of spinach
-1/2 of a pineapple
-3 green apples 
-20 purple grapes

break down the kale, cut the pineapple into quarter sized chunks, core and slice the green apples, remove the stem from the grapes!

  1. Yum these sound good and so healthy! We have an orange tree and we juiced some of our oranges yesterday, SO much better than storebought OJ!

  5. I do not juice, but I have heard of the benefits and have wanted to try that, or doing some healthy smoothies. It does seem like a good way to get a lot of daily nutrient in without feeling like a rabbit! lol
