The Local Tourist Project {Pt.1:The Marina}

If you've been around Coffee&Glitter for a bit, you will know it is a blog written pretty much oceanside in sunny Sarasota, FL. Sarasota is best known for its number one beach in the world: Siesta Key.

I have lived in Sarasota since I was 7 years old. Traveling the same roads on a daily basis, going to the same restaurants and taking the same cliched beach sunset photos. I have decided that I have had enough of that.

Over the past few weeks, I transformed myself into a tourist of sorts. I went new ways down streets, took different turns than any other day and went places that I hadn't necessarily been before. I hope you enjoy this "series" of sorts and get a little better insight of what Sarasota truly has to offer.

For my first tourist act, I give you: The Marina District

Marina Jacks

Pelican on the Prowl

Sarasota Bay

Succulent Wall

Hands Down, Best Seafood Restaurant in the City.

"Salt Life" and "Boat Life" are two things this city is definitely known for. Being down at the Marina, you will see such a camaraderie between fellow captains and boat enthusiasts.

There's nothing better than fresh seafood and beautiful scenery!
