Hair Goals, Banana Bread Beer& Bugs in Our House?!

#truth

Happy Monday dolls! I hope you have all recovered from your #PinkSunday festivities! I have to say, I am pretty disappointed in myself...I failed at the Lilly for Target launch. I made it our with one pair of shorts. The clerks working said that the line started forming at 430. They were only letting groups of 10 in at a time. They opened at 8 and were sold out of Lilly by 825am. They did inform me thought that they will be receiving more in on Friday! Anyways, I am linking up with Meg from Mingle Monday and Biana from B Loved Boston to recap on the rest of the weekend!

Friday
I got an awesome work out in early in the morning. I used to have a trainer but it was getting to be way too expensive so lately I have been running the two sets of stairs in my complex and using these workouts and apps. I like being able to work out at home as I tend to get a bit self conscious in a gym setting. Anyways, I woke up, answered emails, worked out, then met my momma for lunch at quite possibly the best seafood place in Sarasota.
I also have #hairgoals now. I have never been super confident about my curly hair so, since I was in seventh grade, I have straightened it. I was looking at it the other day in awe of how unhealthy it is. So, I went to Ulta and was there for about 45 minutes talking to one of the girls with hair similar to mine about what to do and how to save my hair. She said to swear off heat for the next good while. I bought a ton of products and have made a 'promise' of sorts to myself to not straighten my hair until my birthday in August!
bwatuwant on Instagram is my current inspiration. Obviously my hair will not be even close to this long come August but, this is my goal in the hair world!
Saturday

Emily+I finalized her flight to Orlando in August and our hotel for my birthday celebrations! We have also preplanned our fast passes and my birthday night! I am so excited for this trip! I also finalized everything for my euro-trip in May! France, Italy, I'm comin' for ya!

J and I usually use Saturday nights for our 'date nights'. We had planned to go see Furious 7 and do dinner but, he had a killer headache so we just did a quick dinner at Square 1 and then returned home. A bit later, I met a few of the girls I used to work with for a quick drink at WOB. I had the Banana Bread Beer and holy cow-yum! It literally tastes just like banana bread!

Sunday
J went into work and did his thing while I cleaned up around the house. I figured that it was a good time to put the Easter decor away and break out the summer decor...and I found some bugs hanging around our plants...
When J was done at work, we took a family trip to Starbucks and then tried our luck at Target which you have read was pretty unsuccessful.

We decided to see a matinĂ©e of Furious 7 and holy cow y'all, I was in tears at several different places. Without giving anything away, I will say that the movie was completed amazingly and the ending was done extraordinarily well.

After fixing my makeup and taking an afternoon nap, we met my momma for dinner at Cody's Roadhouse!

All in all, it was a fabulous weekend! I hope each and every one of you had equally great weekends and have a fabulous Monday! Don't forget to stop by tomorrow as I am co-hosting the Grow Your Blog Blog Hop!

Before You Go...

As we're approaching bathing suit season (for some of us it's already here), I've been amping up my workouts and noticed it would be nice to have some fresh workout gear for the season. So, I teamed up with some of my bloggy favs to giveaway at $200 gift card to Lululemon. We all know their clothes are not cheap, so the lucky winner can go on a shopping spree on us to get a jump start on their workout wardrobe for the warmer months. Good luck!

  2. Ohh Ulta, love that place! But I can't go in there or it would be very bad for my wallet, LOL! Love your bugs, too cute!

  3. At least you got something from the lilly target! I did not and everywhere I read they say that no one is restocking!

  4. I still need to see Fast and Furious 7, but every time I see a trailer I just know that I'll get super emotional if we go!

  5. I did not even make it to Target until 8 and they were already completely sold out. They said they would not be restocking, so I'm bummed. Oh, well!

  10. I think everyone always wants the hair they don't have. Mine is straight and blonde, and I have always wanted dark and curly!

  11. That ecard = truth!!! And a bra too. Ugh! Ha. I love the hair in that picture! My hair is straight as a board and has no volume or texture. Sigh. Yay for Disney! We will be there May 24th through the 31st. Banana bread beer sounds interesting. Does it still have the distinctive beer taste, or is it more sweet-banana-y? I want to try it! Your pups are so cute!!!

  13. I was at Target too on Sunday and the location close to my house was not busy at all. There were ladies there with Lilly P. stuff but no long lines. I was curious about the stuff they had there but when I saw it, it just wasn't what I would want. Maybe it's because most of the stuff was picked over and I didn't find an appealing design or color that I liked. Congratulations on your Disney trip!! I love Disneyworld. Have fun!!

  16. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there won't be a restock of Lilly for Target goodies! Your best bet is to join some Lilly Re-Sale groups on Facebook where they don't allow reselling for profit! :)

  17. I wish I could have made it to Target yesterday- though I don't know what I would have gotten. My mom & sister saw Furious 7 and said it was definitely a tear jerker! Can't wait till I head out and see it! Happy Monday!
