The Boyfriend Chronicles {Pt. 3: Pros of Living With Your Man}

So, if you have been following along, I am kind of doing a series type thing focusing on J's and my relationship. Part 1 is here and Part 2 is here

If you live or have lived with a guy, you know that there are some hardships but, because I am being a "Positive Polly" and not a "Negative Nancy" today, I am here to point of the plus side of living with a boy!

#1: First and foremost, food. Living with a boy brings lots and lots of yummy food with it! If you ever need an ice cream binge night, I guarantee your man will back you up eat it with you! J and I have many late night fro-yo dates!

#2:The endless supply of baggy comfy boyfriend clothes..HELLO!
Your lazy days just got 100 times more comfy!

#3 Movie nights. Lots and lots of movie nights. I know for J, he'd much rather order in and pick out a movie on demand than go out and sometimes, thats nice!

#4 if y'all are dating but not officially living together yet, that next step of moving in eliminates that awful post sleepover morning scavenger hunt for clean clothes or at least a decent work appropriate outfit/all of your clothes will be in one place-rather than some at your place and some at his...we have all been there #nojudgement

#5 All the snuggles your little heart can take! Before work, after work and allll night you, you have someone to hold you.

#6 Forget always having to feel like you need to wear your best or most decorative VS thong...break out the comfy underwear and own it...
I bet he'll even compliment you a time or two.

#7 Scared of bugs? #byefelicia! We all know every guy wants to show off how "macho" he is so, have no fear, your boyfriend is here to capture that teeny tiny spider you see!

#8 No more shaving every day! He'll learn to accept you..I never get this bad though!

#9 Your bank account will thank you. If your boyfriend is like mine, the bills will be split equally! Thats half the utility bills..half the grocery bills and half the rent/mortgage. #hellonewmichaelkors

#10 You get to see your best friend errrday!

  1. I can definitely relate to a lot of these! All though the late night ice cream binges might not be a positive thing haha, if he wasn't here I probably would talk myself out of it and save some calories lol ;) And reason number 4 was honestly one of the things I was most excited about once we decided to move in together. That was such a pain!

  2. So glad that you're enjoying living together. My now-husband and I lived together before we got engaged and it was a really great experience. I feel like we kinda fell into it super easily (I was over at his place all the time before that anyway, so it really just made it easier for me not to have to do #4 on your list haha)

  3. Haha I love this. I just moved in with my bf about 6 months ago, and it's so much better! I got so tired of packing stuff every night and i love always having someone to come home to!

  7. So true and I love #10! I agree with the commenter above that living with my then-boyfriend, now husband was a great way to get to know him better and visa versa...we learned all of our little pet peeves, etc. and overcame them!

  8. I lived with my now husband for a month before we were engaged or married. I felt odd about it so we got engaged within 2 months of living together. THEN I had a really long engagement (18 months+) and I felt much better getting to know him. I agree with your points (above)!! Great article.

  10. My husband and I have been together for 10 years (lived together for 9 of them), and all of these are still true, even today. It just gets better and better. =)

  11. I definitely am glad I lived with my husband before we got married. You don't really know a person until you live with them every day. And i'm totally with you on the undies and the shaving.

  12. These are all so true! My husband and I didn't live together before we were married, but we spent quite a bit of time at each others apartments (we were semi-long distance and finishing school at different schools), so moving in together wasn't a huge adjustment, but there were a few things we had to work on. It was mainly me and my messiness haha.

  13. OMG. Your pictures had me in stitches. My husband and I did not live with one another before marriage and I had to deal with his messiness. Lol. Once we were married.

  14. I've been living with my fiance' for about a year now and I have to say that most of these are true for me too! The shaving part and the comfy undies part both cracked me up...because I have no shame now!
