Gettin' Old on Mother's Day

Hello blogland!

So, obviously, yesterday was Mother's Day.

The momma behind C&G
My momma & John's momma and I

Not so obvious though is that today, the man behind this blog, John,  turns
27 T W E N T Y S E V E N 27

This weekend was pretty much all about him as his momma lives back in Massachusetts with this rest of his family and my momma was not feelin' too hot!
I kept asking hounding J throughout last week about what he wanted to do this weekend as our schedules aren't exactly ideal for big weekday celebrations. He kept saying "I don't care, it is up to you"...*insert eye roll emoji here* obviously it was his birthday weekend so I wanted HIM to choose! Well, come 4pm Friday afternoon, he still said "I don't care". I know that he doesn't  get enough relaxation/sleep time during the week so, I decided that we would spend our weekend doing just that!

Friday when he got home, I had already taken the dogs out, done all of the cleaning and chores, and had movie and snack options waiting! He was quite thrilled. We watched several shows took a three hour nap, woke up and decided we were hungry. We grabbed the dogs and made a late night trip to Wendys...calories don't count on birthdays or weekends

Saturday while J was at work, I again made sure that everything was done prior to his arrival. When he got home, we decided to run a few errands together, hit up starbucks frappy hour, and then we returned home only to get sucked in to the black hole of lifetime movies (how sweet is he to voluntarily put those on?? he like to comment on the cheesiness and awful acting-i'm right there with ya babe!) we then decided that we wanted to grab take out so, I ordered Kona Grill. We finished the night snuggling and watching Chopped.

Sunday we both woke up and made the usual calls to our mommas, J went into work for an hour and when he came back, I had breakfast ready. Since it would not have been ideal to wake up at 3 am this morning to kick off his birthday, we started it yesterday. Our Sunday was pretty much the same as our Saturday-after we ate, we took the dogs out, ran a few errands, then got comfy again on the couch with a few snacks, water, diet pepsi, and the pups and watched more movies.

Today when J gets home, we have a few errands, he will have a present to open then we will be celebrating at the Cheesecake Factory.

Babe- Although we didn't do anything this weekend, I can not wait to go to Phoenix and Massachusetts with you in June. I hope you enjoy what I got for you to open today as well. When you walked in to my life two years ago, I had no idea what to expect but, I am so glad that we met. You are such a strong, hard working and caring man.  I love you so much and I can not see what 27 brings for you. Happy Birthday Babe. I love you always

I hope you all had fabulous weekends and a great Monday!
