From Runge to Ricker:Saying "Yes" in Arizona {Pt.1}

Happy Monday loves! After eight days away between two time zones, I am exhausted! However, I just could not wait to post this trip recap any longer!

If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, then you may already know that said trip opened a new chapter for John and I. But, first, let me rewind.

So Saturday June 12th, John and I left for Arizona to see his brother at his base. We got in around 8pm and headed straight to Owen. We checked out the fire station and did a quick drive through tour of the base and it was pretty freaking cool!

After leaving O, we grabbed a bite then checked into our hotel and pretty much passed out.

SUNDAY we woke up at 730 and met Owen at the base gate. We started out on a three four hour trek to the Grand Canyon. To me, everything was normal but little did I know that these two had been scheming behind my back for the past month! We stopped for a snack, pictures, and gas then arrived at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon near Yavapi Point.

The views were absolutely break taking y'all!

Still, I have not yet picked up on what was about to happen. As we continue going down the trails, we stop for a bunch of picture ops. Such as this one:
note the hand in his pocket...
note my face...
But then, something big happened...

Let me just tell you the state of complete shock I was in. John picked the most picture perfect (literally) spot it was like a dream. I could not have wished for a better moment.

Obviously the picture perfect proposal took the highlight of the trip but, we finished our time in Arizona touring the base, checking out yummy places to eat, and spending time with Owen.

Thanks Arizona, you were good to us!
