From Ricker to Runge: Engagement Shoot Bloopers {Pt. 5}

Pt. 2: Asking Your Bridesmaids and Little Ones
Pt. 3: Picking a Venue
Pt. 4: Wedding Inspiration

Hi lovelies! I am so excited to be able to say that we have really been killin' it with the wedding planning! We have:
-a date
-a venue
-a wedding party
-a photographer
-a videographer
-a DJ

and now, our engagement pictures!

While John's youngest brother was here, we asked him to do our engagement photos. He is a pretty kick ass photographer and it was important to include him in wedding things as well. As silly as it sounds coming from someone who lives less than 15 minutes from the beach, it was hard to pick somewhere to do engagement photos because we did not want the cliche beach pictures.

I did a little 3am google search on good photo spots in our area and picked a local park. The park was full of little trails and bridges and it was quite picturesque. We are still finalizing our Save the Dates and such but for now, here are some bloopers from our shoot:

"I whip my hair back and forth, I whip my hair back and forth"

but wait! I have an idea!

our fabulous photographer

John:"Ohh girl it was like this big" Sarah:"You know how it thrills me when you tell stories"

Behind every great Save the Date photo, there are tons of bloopers!

Check in next week for the Save the Date design we picked!

  1. YES TO THE PATRIOT JERSEYS! I love love love it! My husband is from California and never grew up watching football, so I've taught him to love it and to love the Patriots; we took a family photo with our pup last year in all our patriot's gear and it's one of my favorites!

  5. I just took some engagement photos for friends this weekend, and from the other side of the camera they are just as much fun to see/laugh at. I think if you've got some bloopers that means that you guys were probably having a ton of fun (and you still look adorable)!

  16. I have been a wedding vender (Photographer) in the area for twenty five years and I have never been treated so well by a wedding venue like I was at San Francisco wedding venues. I am usually taken care of as a "last on the list" at venues, which I understand where the bride, groom and guest come first but the entire staff from the minute I walked in the door treated me so well.
