Weekend Rewind

I can already tell you, this is not my Monday. So bring on the coffee and follow along.

Although this day is off to a not great start, this past weekend was amazing. From family and tons of delicious food to a perfect date night, it was great.

per usual Thanksgiving tradition, I woke up around 830 and started cooking. Since we weren't hosting this year, I wanted to help Grammie as much as I could so I took on a ham, some of the veggies and a dessert. We also watched the Macy's Parade and drank pink champs.

around 130, people started trickling in. We sat down to eat at 230 and holy cow it was amazing. We celebrated with all sets of John's grandparents, my momma and each other-it was perfect. After eating, we hung out for a few hours, cleaned up and relaxed then I hit the mall for a little shopping.

I took full advantage of having the house to myself and slept in. I got back from shopping around 230 am so I was one tired girl. When John got home, he asked if we could go shopping together-obviously I said of course so we headed to the outlets and Brandon Mall. I have decided I am much more of a cyber Monday shopper but it was still fun.

after shopping, we came home, had pizza and cuddled up watching movies. My friend/bridesmaid to be called me around 8 and said she wanted to run to the mall then get drinks and dessert. I met up with her and it was such a good time.

I ran out and did a bunch of errands, met Jackie again with her Momma for a quick breakfast and then came home to do some things around here. At 530, John said "lets go out" I was super confused as we didn't have plans and then he told me it was a surprise. We got ready then headed on our way. The whole car ride I was trying to guess places and failed.

He ended up planning a date night at TopGolf Tampa, dinner, drinks and then the Casino-it. was. perfect!

was the epitome of a lazy Sunday. John went into work for an hour and I stayed back to do a few things around here. When he got back, we both hopped back into bed and watched netflix/slept. Around 3 I ran out to do a few quick errands then came back and we watched the Pats game and decorated the tree!

I hope you all had a great weekend! I will now be shopping and drinking lots of coffee!

Being Thankful Isn't Just For Thanksgiving

No matter who you are or how much emphasis you put on thankfulness in your daily life, you can't deny that Thanksgiving just brings about an attitude of thankfulness. For me, all of November is just full of constant reminders to be thankful.

Black Friday 2015:The Game Plan

Can I just start this off by saying, I don't know why but anytime I think about Black Friday, I hear the Rocky theme song in my head? Like why?

Anyways, I know some people are super anti early Black Friday shopping which is fine but, I am not one of those people. Quite honestly, I dabbled in retail work for like 6 months and working Thanksgiving night/Black Friday was the best night I had there. I got crazy overtime and it was just so insane that it made for a good time.

Cruelty Free Beauty Brands [My Top 5]

Today we are talking cruelty free beauty.

I am fully aware that not all of the products I have mentioned in the past have been cruelty free however, I am actively making a change in my makeup collection to only buy and use 100% cruelty free products.

Coffee&Glitter Fashion Police: AMAs

all photos from E online and the AMA red carpet show.
So, call me judgmental if you must but I just can't help but comment on all of the celeb looks at award shows. There are some celebs that just can do no wrong and then there are the ones that you know spent hundreds of thousands of dollars and look like they crawled out of a sewer.. again, call me judgmental but I just can't help but share my thoughts on this years AMA attire.

Blogger Take Over: Crown Me In Glitter

Oh hey! Fancy meeting you here! I’m Jenn-a new blogger over at Crown Me In Glitter! Come visit me sometime! I'm lucky enough to be hanging out over there on Sarah's sidebar, and to get to guest post today! I'm super excited about it.

Since I’m such a basic girl & all, I figured I would write about all things fall! I’ve seen these floating around & have been dying to do one! You know.. to really put myself out there and share some of my innermost thoughts regarding the season! I won’t keep you hanging anymore..I know you are all dyyying to hear all my favorites!

Yankee Candle Spiced Pumpkin. Hands dooown. This is such a heavenly smell..I die. I wish it was acceptable to Spice Pumpkin it up all year long!

I literally don’t wear ever. I promise I don’t smell..I just get a headache after the immediate spraying of the perfume so I just..don’t wear it?

#sobasic. 5 pump, non-fat, no whip Grande Pumpkin Spice Latte foooor the win!
Hey there, sweet PSL.
Stuffing. I think because Thanksgiving is the only time of year I eat it so its like a special treat! And its delicious.

Not a pie girl, so can I pass? I like cake. And donuts.

Anything long that covers my tush in leggings. Seriously live in these things. I probably look like I only wear one thing like, ever, but hey..homegirl knows what she likes. When ya got a good thing going, why mess it up!?

Ugh. This year has been kinda warmer than normal I think? I feel like this time last year I was all day every day wearing my Uggs & blanket scarves! This year I’m lucky if I can wear my regular boots without feeling like I’m dying from the heat. I do love that fall has lasted a little longer than normal though. Usually I feel like it flies by & its winter before I know it!
This. Is. SO. Hard. They are such different things! I vote both. Usually, I’m watching football indoors, so that is a favorite fall indoor activity! Ok actually, I lied. I don’t love leaf piles because its hard work to get them IN the piles. But I love leaves in general!

What? Is this a thing!?

I have gotten SO into fall/dark lips this year! I shouldn’t even say dark, because for most people they are just like normal colored. But if I wear like a regular dark-ish nude, it looks super dark on me.

HELL YES! It only comes once a year! Its like Christmas..but..fall.

The Voice! But I don’t know if thats specifically fall..since I think it also comes on in the Spring? But this year I’d have to say Scream Queens is up there. Its so funny stupid I can’t help but watch it!

I own I think 6 pairs of Uggs & 0 pairs of combat boots. Uggs..boom.

Wait? Are jeans a thing? Can’t tell ya the last time I wore some. This may or may not be directly related to being unable to fit in them after having my Harper Love and refusing to buy jeans a size bigger. Leggings, leggings, leggings!
See my leggings there? If I don't scream fall in this picture, I'm not sure what does.

Yay! Its so fun! Of course I don’t dress up anymore, but I probably will start to now with my Harper Love! I think the idea of family costumes is so fun..and corny. But whatever.
And now, I get to eat all of Harper's candy, so that's also kinda awesome. I consider that a huge win in my book!

Used to love it. Now? I prefer to sleep. Cyber Monday, anyone?

I loooove a crisp fall morning! To me, it just feels different than the evening. A cup of coffee, staying in cozy jammies & sitting out on my porch make for one happy lady over here.

Like I said, loving the dark lips! I think it really adds a lot to any outfit and screams “fall!” Its like the icing on the cake to any fall outfit :)

Thanks for hanging out with me today!
Come visit me sometime & follow along with our adventures!
Make sure to let me know you stopped by!
Have a great day!

Happy Tuesday Loves!
Can you believe Thanksgiving is in just nine days? It is so crazy how quickly this year has flown! Anyways, this year we are doing Thanksgiving for 10 on the farm.

Grammie and I are basically in charge of the menu so I figured I would start rounding up a few recipes for us to pick from!

Weekend Rewind

Happy Monday Y'all!

I hope you all had a great weekend! I feel like I got a lot accomplished. We are working on our Thanksgiving plans and menu, I am making a plan of attack for Black Friday and well, the Pats won so it was a great weekend!

So I am very very excited about this! As a blogger, you wear many hats-writer, editor, photographer, etc. I have always had an interest in photography but I had never really taken it seriously until this past year. I have had a few families that I babysit for ask me to do some family portraits here and there and I'd send them over after I had them imported and did some editing. A few months ago, one of the families wrote me a pretty decent check for something that I just considered a hobby. I told the mother that I couldn't accept that and she stopped me and said that she thought I was so great with her kids and that other well seasoned photographers couldn't get them to sit and pose how I did. She told me I should start a photography business. I went home and kind of laughed it off. However, recently, a few other families that I don't know have contacted me and asked me to shoot for them. I asked how they heard about me and they referenced the other mother. It felt good to know that she really did mean what she said. So two months ago, I started getting more serious about it. I have since purchased more equipment and upgrading some lenses. I have also started up some social media for my new endeavor.

Although there is nothing really there yet, I would appreciate comments, likes and follows as I continue setting things up. I spent most of Friday branding. I am really excited for this new adventure!

Saturday's pretty much always start the same for me, I woke up super early and met my dad for our usual breakfast routine. I then ran over to Old Navy to check out any sales and then returned home to do some blog things. When J got home, he asked if we could go to the mall so we went out again, grabbed some milkshakes then did some shopping.
When we got back, I decided to trial shoot some Christmas pictures for our cards this year. The dogs were not having it but I got a few cute ones of just he and I.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
I woke up not feeling too hot but I still got up and went into the shop with J. Sometimes when I am there I  feel like such a child because I just can't stop touching things. J got a new truck to drive so obviously I had to test it out while we were there. Let me just tell you, you all are lucky I don't do his job for a living..the roads would be a much more dangerous place with me behind the wheel of this!
When we got home, we watched some Criminal Minds, J did homework and I did some cleaning until 4pm when the Pats came on. We watched the game then headed to Carrabbas for my mommas birthday.

What were you up to behind the screen this weekend?

in light of the tragedy that occurred over the weekend in Paris, remember to always take that extra moment to tell the people close to your heart that you love them. don't waste precious time fighting and holding a grudge against someone, it isn't worth it. remember to always keep an eye out for anything suspicious and be aware of your surroundings. it is sickening that this is the world we are living in. that innocent people are getting killed for doing nothing but living their lives. regardless of your political or religious beliefs, i do strongly feel that this is becoming a time where we all need to stand together.

Happy Friday Loves!

Are you superstitious about Friday the 13th? Honestly, I didn't really realize it was the 13th until I went on Facebook earlier and half of my feed is freakin' out. I am clearly not very superstitious over it. Anyways I am going to go ahead and get into my Because. Friday because our four legged- babies have a grooming session and play date scheduled for 9am!

1. Favorite Eats of the Week
my parents asked us to join them for dinner on Tuesday night. J wasn't feeling so hot so it was just my parents and I. We went to our favorite sushi spot and totally indulged.
On Wednesday, J asked me out for a mini date night so we tried out a restaurant his bosses enjoy and it was ah-mazing. We started with bruschetta then moved onto ahi tacos and a bacon and swiss burger-complete with wine.

2. Favorite Purchases of the Week
I received another package from Colourpop-which I am obsessed over. I also picked up some flowers from Trader Joes-my love for this store grows more and more every time I am in there!

3. Favorite Moments of the Week
Tuesday Morning John's grandad and I traveled back together from Massachusetts. I really enjoyed the whole trip but I thought it was great for he and I to be able to talk. He is so smart and has a lot of interesting stories from his past. I have said it before but I love that John's grandparents are so freakin sweet to me and have really taken me under as their granddaughter.
It has been a while since J and I have had a date night so our dinner complete with Wawa milkshakes was probably the best moment of the week. I love living on the farm and feeding the donkeys. John brought home huge carrots and we hung out with the Donkey's while they enjoyed their snacks.

4. Friday Funnies

5. Favorite Pins of the Week

Well, Happy Friday (the 13th) loves! Have a great weekend!

Thursday Huddle-[Tailgating Tips]

Hey Y'all!

After my fair share of tailgating either at the game or hosting parties at home, I have definitely come up with some great tips on how to keep things fun, easy and stress free. Tailgating is no joke and starting the game day off stressed is not a good sign!

Here are my tips and tricks that I have come up with throughout the years:

At The Game
1. Arrive at least four hours prior to kick-off! This will give you plenty of time to fire up the grill, eat, drink, play a few games, mingle with neighbors, and clean up before heading towards the field. -BRING A TENT/CANOPY

2. Keep a tool box or plastic tote in your car full of tailgating essentials including
-tylenol/advil  -bottled water  -tampons  -a football
-spare shirt/jersey  -koozies  -matches/lighter  -a hat/sunglasses
-jumper cables  -portable phone charger  -trash bags  -baby wipes
-sharpies  -bottle openers  -paper towels  -plastic bags
-hand sanitizer  -umbrella  -flashlight

3. Bring a cooler and pack it correctly
4. Do the prep work the night before (ie. skewer kabobs, form burgers, cut veggies)

5. Introduce yourself to your neighbors! They could become your lifesavers or best friends. If you forget an essential, they could have it. If you all hit if off, you could make tailgating together a thing and share the duties!

Tailgating From Home
1. Menu plan-yeah it may sound silly but, do it. If you are inviting 5+ people over to be drinking and watching the game, you need to have enough food to keep them happy.

2. Food: Keep it simple. This is not the time to be trying out a fancy 22 marinade whole chicken. you want quickeasy, and delicious. Finger foods, dips, and apps. are your best friend.

3. Games! Set up a beer pong/flip cup table, grab some corn hole boards, and make sure there is something for children to do: a movie in a second room, coloring pages, board games, etc.

4. Make sure there is enough seating.

5. Make it cute. The plus side to watching a game at home other than having a/c, is that it is your house. You can plan as far in advance as you want to make sure everything will be perfect. Add cute touches like football decorated cups or a football field table cloth.

Regardless of where you are tailgating, remember to have fun!
