Hello Friday.

Happy Friday loves!
This week was full of shopping. John's grandmothers and I met up at 11am and were out and about until 530pm on the hunt for dresses for them to wear to the wedding! We went from store to store waiting to find the perfect dresses. The two of them finally lucked out! While we were dress shopping, we also wandered into a few antique/vintage stores I hadn't really every been antiquing or consignment shopping but it was pretty fun!

Later in the week, my momma and I also had a little date day. It was about time for the Mother of the Bride to find the perfect dress! We left her house at 1030 and headed for Tampa. We found a few contenders in the International Mall before taking a lunch break at PF Changs. We headed back to Sarasota and stopped at a few stores locally. Ironically, at a store just 15 minutes from her house, she found her perfect dress! Now, almost all of the key players on our big day have something to wear!

We celebrated John's Grandfather's 76th birthday Wednesday night at Carrabbas. Two sets of grandparents, John and I made for a great time! We finished off the night with a group date to FroYo.

Today is my first hair trial! I am so nervous but really excited. If you don't follow me on snapchat yet, I suggest you get on that if you want to see sneak peeks and a little behind the scenes of the blog!

From Runge to Ricker: Last Sail Before the Veil {Pt. 14}

Happy Wedding Wednesday Loves! So, last week, I recapped my beyond perfect Bridal Shower hosted by my amazing Maid of Honor and Mother in Law! This week I am sharing the three amazing days that led up to the shower! Beware, this is a heavy on the pictures kinda post!

all of the girls had various flight times so I headed up to Tampa at 12ish to meet the first arrival, Emily, my maid of honor/twin. When she got in, food was the first priority on our agenda so we went to one of the best spots in Tampa-Datz because, Datz Whats Up! We split apps and kicked the weekend off with a few good drinks.

after, we headed to the mall to do a last minute shopping trip before picking up the second arrival, Melissa. Once she got in, we had a few errands to do including grocery shopping and a trip to the liquor store. When we were done, we hung out at the TGI Friday's in the airport with a bartender who did awesome tricks.

Once the last girly, Jackie, got in we headed for Orlando. We got checked in and settled before the start of the night. We played a few drinking games in the room then set out to explore the resort. Emily hooked us up and booked a gorgeous room on Disney property at Port Orleans. We wandered around until we met other wanderers who were out and about exploring. We found hammocks and chit chatted until 3am-ish.

we woke up around 10am. we may or may not have woken up in strugglecity but, after a few hot showers, hair of the dog shots, and team motivation, we got up and going. We headed to my favorite disney park-Magic Kingdom. Shockingly there were barely any lines so we hit up a ton of rides, watched a parade and I got my favorite-a dole whip.

After spending just about all day in the park, we headed back to our hotel to get ready to dinner/orlando bars. We went to the Yard House on I-Drive which is definitely my favorite restaurant. Our server was such a sweet heart. After our dinner, we headed to the night scene in orlando. We hailed and uber and got dropped off on Church Street.

well, we thought Friday morning was rough, we were 100% in strugglesville this morning. we had to be up, packed and on the road by noon. so, we started by waking up, putting our swim suits on and heading to the pool. Once we were feeling a little more like ourselves, we got to packing and cleaning. Before we got on the highway to head home, we stopped for lunch at the cutest little beachy wing place.

I really feel so spoiled and lucky to have such a great group of girls by my side. I had so many happy tears throughout the weekend. They all flew in from their respective cities to celebrate with me and it was beyond words perfect!

How did you celebrate your last fling before the ring?

1/4 cup agave
1 tbsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp apple pie spice
1 apple diced

What You Will Do:
1. preheat oven to 400 and prepare a pan
2. add all of the ingredients (except the apple) to a blender.
3. blend on a low speed until incorporated
4. gently fold in apples
5. pour into the prepared pan
6. bake for 10 minutes

-almond butter crunch: sub almond butter in the base and add chopped almonds to mix

Weekend Rewind+Blogger Challenge Week 4

Happy Last Monday in January! Is it as crazy to anyone else as it is to me that this first month of 2016 is basically already gone? This also means that in just 47 days, I will be walking down the aisle.. like what?! Anyways, this is my first weekend rewind of 2016.

I have been trying to figure out how to merge the blogger challenge with my Weekend Rewind as I like doing them and I had a specific request to bring them back. I feel like some of the Blogger Challenge prompts can get kind of lengthy so I didn't really want to merge them.

My Solution:
1. if the Blogger Challenge prompt doesn't call for a wicked long response, I will merge the two into one post with the Blogger Challenge prompt and link up at the end.
2. if the Blogger Challenge ends up being lengthy, there will be two posts on Mondays!

We will see how this works for the next few weeks and make changes where needed!
Anyways, lets get into this Weekend Rewind!

there's really nothing like a 430am wake up call after staying up until 230 to get your weekend started off right.. (insert eyeroll emoji here) John's Aunt, Uncle, little Cousins and Grandparents were in Disney this week so I decided to go up and spend a day with them. Due to the hour and a half commute on high traffic highways, I decided it would be best to leave before morning rush hour. I left my house at 530 and pulled into the Contemporary parking lot at 7am. As soon as I walked into the lobby, I was greeted with big hugs from two very excited five year olds! We headed to breakfast at the Crystal Palace with Pooh and his Friends. After, we headed to Royal Princess Hall to meet Anna, Elsa, Cinderella, and Aurora. We did several rides then headed back to the hotel suite before the nasty weather hit.

I stayed up there a little longer than planned as the weather took a turn for the worse and started torrentially down pouring with insane winds. Once it calmed, I made the trek back home. John was asleep when I got back so I worked on some blog work, finished my Bridal Shower Thank You's complete with a wax seal and caught up on RHWOBH and Vanderpump Rules. The rest of the night called for fiance and puppy snuggles.

I, again, was up a little too early for my liking on a weekend but, it was worth it! John and I met his grandad for breakfast at one of our favorite spots. We got to catch up over a long conversation and then made plans for Sunday. Once we parted ways, I headed to my parents house.
When I got home, I made a batch of homemade salsa and guacamole. J wasn't feeling too hot so we then spent the rest of the day doing one of our favorite things 'netflix&chill'. I also enjoyed my fair share of Bloody Mary's because, Saturday.

S U N D A Y
Things were moving bright and early Sunday..apparently this was the weekend of anti-sleeping in. When J left to run into work for a bit at 7, I got up, got fully ready, cleaned, then started prepping game day treats in the kitchen.

The boys have a weekly tradition of setting up the chairs in John's grandmothers house and watching football from 1pm-9/10pm when they finally doze off. Usually, it gives his grandmother and I a chance to watch our Criminal Minds-esque shows and chit chat over tea so, we don't mind. However, since this weekend was a major game, I partook in watching and also provided the food for them (and sangria for me)!
Hawaiian Chicken Kebabs, Homemade Salsa and Guacamole, Potato Salad, and Carrot Cake Cookie Sandwiches

Obviously the game did not end in our favor so, it was quite the quiet night afterwards.

I hope you all had fabulous weekends. May your Monday's be short and your coffee's be strong!
Now onto the challenge:

Week 4 of the 52 Week Blogger Challenge!

This week is all about money! I really do pride myself on being conscientious about where I spend money and how much I spend however, we all have our moments of weakness we just can't turn down a deal or pass up that dress. So, I am going to spill my top 5 places my money goes!

1. hubby to be
from sweet treats to Patriots gear, if I am out and about and see something I think he'd like, I grab it! His momma always says he is spoiled but I would say he is just well taken care of!

2. furbabies
I am such a sucker for pet things. Our babes get a barkbox each month but that isn't enough. I always look for little toys or treats here and there while I am out!

3. fresh kitchen + coffee
so unless you are from the Tampa/Sarasota area, you will not know what Fresh Kitchen is but I promise you on literally e v e r y t h i n g, it is life changing! They are a "make your own bowl" place so you pick a base (greens, rice, quinoa, mashed sweet potatoes, etc.) then a veggie which I always get the Brussels Sprouts then a protein. SO GOOD! and well, coffee is self explanatory. I just can not function without at least three cups a day! If you follow me on snapchat (ssarahhhh14 *shameless self promotion*) you will see tons of snaps featuring both of these!

4. makeup
#ultamademedoit babes, I just can't even. Ulta is just as bad as Target for me. I walk in for one bottle of shampoo and walk out with two bags FULL of product... I don't know how it happens!

5. wedding shenanigans
since July I have been in 100% bride mode. I have been back and forth to Hobby Lobby several times a day and have spent hours on Etsy! Quite honestly, if Hobby Lobby had a credit card, I would be in big trouble!

Well, that is mostly what I spend my money on! What about you??

Cheers to You, Friday.

Happy Friday loves!
I feel like the past week and a half or so has been such a whirlwind. I spent last weekend celebrating my upcoming marriage with my girls in Orlando for my bachelorette weekend (full recap coming wednesday) and enjoying a gorgeous Bridal Shower thrown for me by my maid of honor and mother in law!

o n e.
my week started off by saying "bye" to my favorite girls. We left for tampa pretty early and grabbed lunch and a drink or two at the bar before they headed back home. I can not wait to see them all again in March!

t w o.
we have had all kinds of happy mail days around here. we did our registry at Bed Bath and Beyond back in August and now we are flooded with gifts. Obviously I was given gifts at my shower but on Monday, a ton of gifts were delivered to my parents house from our loved ones from out of state!

t h r e e.
my very sweet hubby to be (in just 52 short days) surprised me with a date night at my absolute fav restaurant, the melting pot! we had an amazing dinner and got to talk about upcoming wedding stuff which was the perfect night!

f o u r.
some of John's extended family is in Disney this week. since John's work schedule doesn't allow him to have the time off to go see them, I am taking one for the team and going to see them at my favorite place ever! I will be up there for most of the day today and I am pretty excited!

f i v e.
yesterday morning, I got a facebook message from one of my blogger besties asking if I wanted an admin spot in the facebook group she co-manages. after my squeal of excitement, I said of course!

Berry Beet Smoothie [Recipe]

Smoothies are literally the perfect start to any morning for me. I would take a smoothie over food any morning. However, I like variety. I love to play with various ingredients and consistencies. Currently, this is one of my faves!

What You Will Need:

-1 medium beet
-1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
-1/2 seeded orange
-3/4 cup almond milk
-1 tbsp hempseed
-1 tbsp chia seed

What You Will Do
1. dice beet into bite sized pieces and place in a steamer over boiling water. cover and steam for 20-25 minutes.
2. once cool to the touch, add to blender.
3. add the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth.

What is your favorite type of smoothie?
