Hello Friday.

Hello Friday. Hello January.
2015 was one of the best years of my life. As I said previously, I am honestly pretty bummed that it is over. However, I am so insanely excited that 2016 is here and I will be a Ricker in just 71 short days!
Let's see how we spent the last week of 2015:

John's grandmother, Grammie, and I took a mini road trip up to Ocala. It is always such a fun time going on adventures with her. We were up that way because she had her horse, Dragon transported down from MA. We were super early to get there so we did what we do best-shopped! I also finally had my first Zaxby's experience which my girl Mary raves on and on about. (it was totally as good as she said it was!)
After a few hours, we finally had a Dragon and headed back home!

When we got home from Ocala and got the Dragon all settled in, I checked the mail. We received the cutest Christmas card from some of my little cousins and hands down my favorite envelope ever! You better believe we will be adding this to our wedding scrapbook and saving it forever! My cousin just gets it!

marked five years since I adopted our little fox baby. it is so crazy to me that I have had her for that long. she has truly been the bright spot in a lot of days for me. After having her and seeing where she came from and learning her history, I can swear that I will never buy a dog. She has definitely shown me that adopting is the way.

John and I decided to go out and do a little post Christmas shopping. I had heard that the Apple watches were $100 off at Best Buy so we found ourselves venturing in there. We were intrigued and decided to splurge/spoil one another and we got them! I have to say, they are pretty dang cool!

later on, John went home and caught up with some sleep and I spent the night with one of my favorite families. I have been watching these littles since Chloe who is now 6, was 2 years old. They will always have a spot in my heart. It was so insane to see how much they have all grown in just a matter of weeks. Chloe and I played hair dresser, the brother Eli and I played with monster trucks and the second brother, Gabe was full of snuggles for me!

I spent the first part of New Year's Eve with two of my other favorite babies. We went in the pool, ya know, since it was a nice 82-85 degrees out, dined at chick fil a, and then went to the park.

after I dropped the babes off, J and I talked New Year's Eve plans. Due to his new work schedule, staying in over going out seemed like the best plan for us. We ordered Chinese take out, popped some champagne and binge watched the Fast and Furious series-maybe not the way to ring in the new year but it was perfect for us!

I hope you all had a fabulous NYE and are ready to have an even better 2016!

  6. 71 days?!! It's going to fly by girl. I can't wait to see it all unfold. Isn't getting mail for "the future newlyweds" or "mr and mrs to be" the best? I STILL love getting mail addressed to us as Mr and Mrs. :)
