The Makeup Capsule Experiment: Month Two
month one+intro and explanation
January Results:
What. A. Joke.
So I am not going to lie, going into this, I 100% thought that this would be a cake walk and wouldn't be a big deal at all.
By January 10th, I had already made two trips to Ulta and a ton to Target (specifically the make up section) with all of the new releases and re launches of various products, this girl was having a serious case of FOMO.
I think the concept of Makeup Capsules is absolutely awesome and maybe for people that are more self controlled/less impulse-y than me, they would be able to commit and succeed!
What do you think about makeup capsules?
Also, set your alarms, this Sunday, the SYBL team is hosting a Twitter Chat at 10am EST!
We will be talking about incorporating the Super Bowl and other events into your blog!
You won't want to miss it!
I'm not sure what a make up capsule is? Do have a definition?
ReplyDeleteI've never even heard the term 'capsule' applied to make-up. I got a bunch of new makeup for Christmas but that's about the only time I ever get it--for a birthday present or holiday, haha!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what it is either! I guess I should read your intro post.
ReplyDeleteThats too bad! My makeup collection is already very small, I guess a capsule would work for me.
ReplyDeleteIt's okay I would have gone to Ulta and Target too!!
ReplyDeleteIt seems like a really good idea but I think I would completely fail too! I have 0 willpower lol
ReplyDeleteHaha! This concept might work well for me as I am very basic and use very little makeup in my daily routine. But I LOVE to have a peek into all exclusive make-up counters in malls because why not?!?!

I like the idea of a makeup capsule but I do not know if I could ever do it. I have an addiction to make up that is unreal. Though I think if I did it, it would be beneficial because I would use products I have used in a long time.
ReplyDeleteI would fail completely! I love trying out new makeup and lately I just can't go anywhere without buying the new liquid lipsticks.. so in love with them! Matte lips forever.

I've never heard of this before. I usually don't change my makeup routine too often though!
ReplyDeleteI think I could be really good at this but terrible with a capsule wardrobe haha.

I'm still going strong (minus some makeup that was re-embursed for a blog post)! It's been SO hard and I have a huge wish list going on my Sephora account, but since I haven't bought makeup, I was able to pay for a full year of Tailwind and have almost enough money saved up for a new lens for my DSLR, so it's been getting easier and easier now that I can see how much money I'm able to save by not buying so much makeup, haha!

Thanks for introducing some new ideas with our Thursday Blog Hop! We love having you here.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I love this. Thanks for being so real and sharing with us. I'm not makeup guru, but I can imagine how hard it is to not keep on buying.
