Weekend Rewind+Blogger Challenge Week 5

Happy Monday Loves!

F R I D A Y
I was up pretty early Friday morning. I had a long to-do list of blog related things so I got started on that right away. When John got home from work, we ran out to do a few errands together then had Breakfast at Daily Eats. When we got home, I threw dinner in the crock pot and J and I netflixed/chilled/colored for a while.

At 2pm, I headed down to Sarasota for my first hair trial! The girl that we hired is hands down the sweetest thing! She was SO detail oriented and a total perfectionist which is obviously want I would want for such a big day. I was there for almost three and a half hours. The end result got a rave response from my momma, john's grandmother, mother and John! After that, we enjoyed our Crockpot Chicken Noodle Soup and Garlic bread while continuing our latest Netflix obsession, Lie to Me

S A T U R D A Y
I met my dad for our weekly breakfast. We decided on our father daughter dance song (eek-42 days!) and planned out what days to do dance lessons-oh yes, papa runge doesn't want to look like a fool. Afterwards, J and I lived the bum life netflixing and doing blog stuff. After a day of not doing too much, we decided to go to Applebees for late night 1/2 priced apps and drinks.

S U N D A Y
J headed into work for a bit while I cleaned the house, fed the donkeys and ran around with the pups. Later in the morning I "met" two of my very best blogger besties- Jasmine and Lexi over a google hangout. We talked about all things concerning the Show Your Blog Love group and got to know one another a bit better. Afterwards, J and I went out to target and a few other places. I met my momma for dinner and then ended the night watching Grease Live...did any of y'all watch it? I thought it was SO good!

Welcome Back to Week 5 of the 52 Week Blogger Challenge!
One thing that I am always asking fellow bloggers is, why did you start? So today, I am sharing with you why I started!

First I will give you a look into how we got to Sarah Emily Blogs.

Back in 2011, I had moved home from Ohio and just got my own apartment back in my home town. I was busy looking for jobs and just didn't have much to do. Although I grew up in this city, the friends that I had were not my friends any longer so I really just sat around binge watching the o.c. one of the girls I was close with in college sent out a link to her blog. I was intrigued so I decided to start one of my own. That, was when Bombshelled Glitter was created (after my fav victorias secret spray Bombshell). I wrote about once a week for a month and then here and there for the next few months but it never really stuck.

Then, in 2013 when I started teaching full time, I was always looking for project ideas and classroom management. Most of the pins I found lead to blogs so again I got intrigued and created Juiceboxes and Glitter. This time, it stuck. I got myself onto a schedule and loved it! I met so many fabulous bloggers and it was great. I blogged on JB&G for a year then my life changed and teaching wasn't a major passion of mine.

I still loved blogging so I created Coffee&Glitter. C&G became a place for recipes, beauty posts, and everyday life. I started blogging on C&G full time in March 2015. In December 2015, I changed the name of Coffee&Glitter to Sarah Emily Blogs. I felt like the name change was necessary so my blog can grow with me through different stages of my life.

I have always said that I started blogging because it is a great creative outlet for me. Even in the beginning when I didn't really stick to it 100%, I loved being able to just have a little space to write and share. Now that I have routinely been blogging for almost three years, my answer would be that I love everything about it. I have met some amazing girls through blogging and although we haven't met IRL, we talk all the time. I also love learning new recipes, blogger tips and html code! I think blogging teaches you a lot and it has truly become a passion for me.

So, why do you blog?
