Week 13: Be The Change...

Happy Monday loves! I hope you all had a great Easter weekend filled with family and yummy food. I can already tell you that today is definitely  one of those Mondays and I am not happy about it. I literally got like two hours of sleep after having my free standing closet fall on me at one am and cleaning the mess until about 330-more details on that on my snapchat (ssarahhhh14). Anyways, lets get into the Blogger Challenge!

Welcome Back to Week 13 of the 52 Week Blogger Challenge. For this prompt, it is getting deep. This week is "Be The Change You Wish To See"
I know I am not the only one that avoids the news because of the heartbreak and terror happening day after day hour after hour. People ranting that this race life matters or that race life matters. I just wish it was as simple as everyone stopping, taking a step back and really determining what is important in the world.

We have veterans who are homeless, eight year old girls being sold into sex rings or forced marriages, teenagers overdosing, terrorist groups threatening the lives of many, animals being euthanized as a cause of maxed out shelters. When will it all stop?

Obviously, I can't change the world with the snap of my fingers but what I can do we can all do is be kind. There are so many days where I will see people holding the door for another and the other person doesn't even bother to say "thank you" or I will see a mother struggling in the grocery store with her two kids while trying to check out-people will stare but they don't offer to help.

I am actively trying to be a better person and for me, that starts with selflessness and kindness.
I will pay it forward
I will offer help to someone in need
Shoot someone a smile because, why not
Lend a hand without being asked
I will not judge others
I will give others the benefit of the doubt

I will be kind.

How will you better our world?

  1. Love this! I know this is so cheesy, but I just saw the new Cinderella movie recently and loved the whole "have courage and be kind" message. It just stuck with me so deeply and I am always reminding myself to be kind now and have noticed a difference in the way I approach situations!

  2. That is one of my favorite sayings! Too often we are quick to blame but all we can really do is focus on ourselves!

  4. This is one of my favorite sayings. There is so much chaos, I wonder as well, when it will all stop.

  5. This is great! It always pays to be nice. I say hello to everyone I see in the hallways at work, I'm always holding doors open for people and asking if they need help. It just feels so good to help people with the little things.

  6. You are such a sweetheart! I feel the same way. Sometime people just stare, they don't say thank you if I am holding a door, etc. It is so aggravating, but still I love the feeling of making someone's day better even if it is just by smiling at them or saying good morning.
