Peaks and Valleys [5.20]

Happy Friday Loves!
Today I am changing it up around here. Instead of my usual Friday Five, I am going to try out an "ups and downs" from the week style of post. Let me know what you think about it!

I am going to start with the Valleys because, there is no point ending the post or starting the weekend on a poor note so, here we go!

V A L L E Y S
∆ Bloggers Being Catty. We are all in this together, can't we all just get along?

∆ Living so far away from blogger besties. Again, my girl Leslie said it best, sometimes she feels closer to her blogger besties over people in her real life. Girl I am right there with you. I wish I could be IRL friends with all my blogger besties!

∆ Blogger Burn Out. Eek. I can't believe I said that. But it is true. I have off an on days with blogging as of late and I am really not happy about it but I also don't know what to do about it. I preschedule a lot of my posts which, has been coming in handy lately because I just haven't had the motivation to write. I feel like nothing I am writing is entertaining anymore and it is getting harder and harder to get noticed. I don't necessarily mean by brands or companies but more by fellow bloggers. I remain true to the statement when I started this journey that I am doing this for me and to network and meet other bloggers. I just kind of feel in a rut!

∆  Last weekend was spent in MA with my family to see my younger sister graduate. It has been about four years since we took our last family vacation with all four of us. Although certain parts were stressful, it was really great to all be together again on an adventure. We need to do that more often.

∆ I finally gave in and got my hair cut. Better yet, I don't hate it! I have been struggling since last year to grow my hair out for the wedding. I did get it close to where I wanted it but it really wasn't healthy at all. So, I finally got about 2 inches cut off and now I am back on the road to long and strong hair!

∆ Essential Oils: I low key brought these up in my Friday Five from last week but again, I am so obsessed. My blogger bestie Leslie suggested I read up on them for the massive migraines I was getting. I had always heard about them but I wasn't ever too sold. My migraines were getting to the point where I would be in tears and nothing else worked so I finally gave in and well, I am sold. From changing a bad mood and cramps to migraines and insomnia, these things are liquid gold. Look out for a whole post on them in about a month!

∆ Big exciting things are happening off the screen over here! Big exciting things that I don't really want to say on here incase I jinx us. But, if you follow me on snapchat (ssarahhhh14) you will be the first to know next Thursday!

What is one peak and one valley you faced this week?

  4. YES to blogger friends! I wish we all had enough money to have a blogger retreat thing. And I'm in the blogging rut too... but I figure when something is in a rut, it means something else is taking up the time (like work or other projects). So just ride out the low! It will eventually turn around. (That's what I'm telling myself, anyway) Hope you have a great weekend and thanks, as always, for linking up with us at H54F!!

  5. Okay, so we're basically long lost sisters, I think. I had the idea of doing a post similar today but then I totally forgot. I think next Friday I'll try to incorporate it in my Friday post though. My week was one for the books. I'm so glad it's done. I totally wish I lived closer to some of my blogging friends. That would be so awesome. Blogger burn out is no bueno but it happens sometimes. It's okay to take a while off and sit down to brainstorm new post ideas. I keep a running list of ideas and add to them all the time. Of course, i'll miss you if you take a break but its okay. :) Also, i'm beyond thrilled that you are loving Essential Oils. Just last night I offered my son some for bug bites or something. He said "Mom! You and your oils!" My hubby said "Hey! They work!" Hahahaha....I've made one a believer in my house!
