From Runge to Ricker: The First, First Look {Pt. 25}

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

A while back, you read about my First Look with John. I wanted to take today to share with you the First First Look I did, with my dad. If you don't frequent here, you may not know the strong bond that my dad and I have and have always had. When I was younger, I was glued to him. If someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I said My Dad. If I was asked who my favorite singer was, I would say Eric Clapton-as that is his. We were inseparable. I wanted to have a special moment with him before I saw anyone else.

This moment was one of the most memorable moments of the day. Having this short time with just my dad/family was so special and really got my nerves in check!

Make sure to check out all of my other From Runge to Ricker series here:
Pt. 17: The Rehearsal
Pt. 22: The Ceremony
Pt. 23: The Reception
Pt. 24: The Details

  1. What a special moment. My moment with my dad was hectic. We were supposed to be taking pictures of just me and him at clearly that meant he needed to be at the church at like 4. But what time does he pull into the parking lot...4:30. The planner I am I was freaking out and was a little annoyed he was late and missed pictures with me outside.

  2. Oh, the chills! What a special moment. I loved when my Dad and I had our first look. It was such a special moment. Your pictures are so pretty and heartfelt though. The one with him wiping your tears is so beautiful!

  3. What a sweet idea! You can tell there's so much love between the two of you!

  4. So sweet. I'm a daddy's girl too, and know the special bond that dad and daughter share. You look absolutely gorgeous.

  5. I love posts like these!! First looks are so, so important! I can't wait to share a moment like this with my father some day.

  6. What a special moment with your Dad, and such beautiful photos!

  7. This is SO sweet. I did a first look with my Daddy too and it was probably one of the most special moments of the whole day. It's a memory I know I will treasure forever, just as I'm sure you'll treasure this one forever!
