Weekend Recap [The 25th Birthday Edition]

Happy Monday loveies! Let me tell you, it feels good to actually be writing again. I have a habit of prewriting posts so far in advance which is good because then I can always have content to post but, it is bad because then I feel like I am not really connecting with you all on a more personal level. But anyways, I am back and excited to be posting today! Lets get into the recap shall we?

So, yesterday was my 25th birthday. This year we did a totally low-key celebration and I loved it. J and I went out last weekend with some friends of mine from work and well, the older I get, the worse the hangovers are so it was definitely not that kind of weekend this weekend.

John met me at my work after my day was finished with the pups and we headed to my parents for a swim in their pool. It was such a relaxing end to the day and week. Once it started to get a little dark, we ordered chinese take out to pick up on the way home. We then binge watched Bachelor in Paradise and Lifetime movies.

I got up pretty early to get my nails done. I always like to be one of the first ones in the especially on the weekends because I don't like to wait haha. After I was done, I swung by the house and picked J up and we ran all over town getting our errands done. We went to our favorite farmers market and loaded up on fresh fruits and veggies. We also had a Chick-fil-a feast and then hit the pool again. At 9pm, we had to pick my mom and sister up from the airport and we ended up having a late late dinner at Chilis with them before dropping them off at their house.

Sunday morning, J surprised me with breakfast in bed. He stayed up late Saturday night after we got home making me a Salted Caramel Cheesecake and y'all-it was divine! He prepared it and made it all "Food Network Presentation-y". We then got our stuff together and headed for the beach. We hung out there for almost 2 hours in the water and collecting shells. Afterwards, we went home and got changed to go furniture shopping and ended up buying a new bed frame (hello, adulting). We then had my momma and sister over for a bit before heading to my favorite restaurant for a Birthday Dinner, Thai Palace.

Overall, it was a perfect weekend and got my blog spark back in action!
