September Currently+Monthly Goals

Happy September lovies! Although it is still hotter than ever in FL, I am SO excited that it is finally September because that means it is finally socially acceptable to start decorating for Fall. But first, another month, another currently and goals post so, here it goes! 

-C U R R E N T L Y-

Reading: blogs on blogs. I have been SO behind on reading my favorites so I am slowly but surely catching up. 

Trying: to eliminate red meat from my diet. It isn't like J and I eat a ton of red meat but on occasion, we will throw burgers or something on the grill. I am trying to replace all red meat with chicken or turkey alternatives. We have been doing chicken burgers recently which have been so yummy-recipe coming soon! 

Hoping: for cooler temps ASAP. this 90 degrees has got to go. 

Decorating: Since August, I have been slowly picking up Fall themed items to add to our decor selection so this weekend I will be breaking all of it out to start making our home as Fall as possible. 

To-Do Listing: boy oh boy in short-literally everything is on my to- do list. for a glimpse, laundry, decorating, blogging, post scheduling, lesson planning, cleaning-it just doesn't ever end 

-M O N T H L Y G O A L S-

∆ workout: at least 3 days a week, I want to start getting up earlier to get in a 45 minute run before getting ready for work 

∆ live in the moment: as a blogger/social media fanatic, I LOVE to get everything on camera however sometimes making sure I get enough "quality" pictures takes some of the fun out of the actual moments. I want to start living more in the moment even if it means it isn't all shared on here. 

∆ blogger friendships: there are at least 4 bloggers that I would DIE to meet in person. These bloggers are ones that I talk to regularly via snapchat or text and am just super close with. I want to keep progressing our friendships and hopefully one day we can be In Real Life friends! 

What are you up to currently??


  1. I just recently started waking up early in the morning and going to the gym before work and it has been amazing! I feel so much better starting the day with a workout!

  2. I'm so behind on reading everyone's blogs, too and I feel horrible about it. I'm really ready to spend one day a week doing nothing but showing love on other's blogs. I can't wait for the chicken burgers recipe! That sounds delicious. I'm definitely a to do lister, too. I can't survive if I don't have a list!

    I need the motivation to work out at least 3 times a week, too. And yay for blogger friendships!

  3. I'm so with you on the cooler temps thing! I live in Alabama and most of our summer days have been up in the 90s and 100s and last year we only had about 2 weeks of winter total! It was brutal so some cooler temps would definitely be very refreshing for me!

  5. I really need to dig out our Fall decor and set it up! I'd love to stop at a Hobby Lobby so I can get more, though!

  7. I can not for the life of me get up early. I wish I could so I could get a workout in, but man it's hardddd! I just decorated for fall over the weekend and it makes me so happy even if it's still 90 degrees out. haha, can't wait for your chicken burger recipe!

  8. I'm so with you on needing those high temps to go! Fitness is something that has definitely taken a backseat for me lately. I need to get back on track too! P.S. Let me know if you're ever up in Tampa - we can have a blogger meet-up :)

  9. gosh, red meat! i haven't had that in such a long time. we switched to white meat years ago (when I was a kid) so now whenever i have red meat, it feels so heavy in my stomach.
