6 Months: a Letter to Noah

little man!
you've been alive for six months...that's half of a YEAR.
while it has gone by insanely fast, it's also hard to believe we've only known you for six little months. that you've only been snuggling me for one hundred and eighty-two days. that your sweetest little smile and laugh and your giant personality wasn't around yet just seven months ago. you fit in so perfectly that it's like you've always been here.
the older you get, the more fun I have hanging out with you. your laughs are my favorite thing in this entire world. you are obsessed with Yoda, and if he so much as walks into the same room as you, you laugh and try to touch him [he isn't as sure about you yet].
you've decided that your favorite play time is around 3:30 in the morning. we sit on the floor of your room reading books and rolling balls around and you shoot me the biggest smiles. those  baby smiles fill me with more happiness than I knew could exist.
me and you have been on our own a lot. we've gone solo grocery shopping, done Target runs, and even met some new friends together. having you with me makes my days so much richer. I was made to be your mama.

you've woken up from a nap and are now rubbing your face into my neck as I type this. you smell like aveeno baby lotion and are making the sweetest little coos as you hug me, and my heart feels like it just might explode. that's how you make me feel every single day.

thank you for filling my life with unexplainable joy.
thank you for allowing me to be your mama.
happy half birthday, you little munchkin.

love you forever. xo

  1. How precious! I love that you documented this and wrote this lovely post! Will be treasured some day when your babe is older!

  2. What a beautiful love letter to your little boy. Here's to today and beyond and many adventures to be had.

  3. Happy 6 months to your little boy!

  4. Noah is so adorable! This letter to him is such a wonderful way to chronicle your life together. I know he will treasure it as much as you do when he is older.

  5. Each year you should bind your letters and photos together into a book. Noah will love having you read them to him, and then later reading them himself.
