Friday Five 12.29.17

Happy Friday lovies!

is it nearly as crazy to you as it is to me that today is the last Friday of 2017? I am just a little bit mind blown over here to be honest. This year has brought me so much love, growth and change that I am a little sad to see it go. But, I am so excited to see what 2018 holds for my personal life as well as my blog journey. speaking of my blog journey, that will be the first topic to kick off this Friday Five!

one.
it is 237am my time right now. I have spent the last 6 hours revamping, recoding and writing for Sarah Emily Blogs. I guess you could say that once I have a plan in mind, I put it in motion. I am like that with almost everything. I definitely do not excel in taking things slowly, for me, it is all or nothing as soon as the idea pops into my mind. However, even though I am knocking off hours of precious sleep, I am so excited and determined to bring this dusty ol' space back to life.

two.
farmhouse style and fresh donuts. by me, there is the cutest little farmhouse decor store with fresh out of the fryer gourmet mini donuts. to accompany these mini circles of deliciousness is some of the tastiest cold brewed coffee I have ever tried. The store is fittingly called, The Farmhouse and if you are ever in this neck of the woods, it is a must try!

three.
it is not a secret that goat yoga is now a thing. it is also no secret (if you follow my IG) that it is a thing I am in love with. goat yoga is the greatest because it is a great work out and well, who doesn't love baby goats? Michelle Leon teaches the classes closest to me and I would say she teaches between a beginners and an intermediate style class. It is so lighthearted, relaxing and instagrammable-you simply can't go wrong.

four.
you could say that I have been legging obsessed lately. however, I am not about to drop $120 on lulu lemons (as much as I love them) instead, I have been obsessing over Amazon's selection and well, if you have Prime, you can't beat it. A few I have been loving are here, here and here-all under $20

five.
family gatherings. I have said it once and I will say it one trillion times, my heart is always the most full with family around. this past week we have been totally spoiled with family time from in-laws and god mamas to my sister and the grandparents. I love a house full of people coming together at the dinner table for a meal and good laughs.

so that wraps up this week's Friday Five, I need to get back into the swing of doing these because I think they are so fun and a little more personal. I'm sure next weeks will be full of New Year's festivities, so get excited for that. have a safe and wonderful weekend, y'all deserve nothing but the best.

  5. As a lifelong insomniac I have always done my best work when my world quiets down, well as close to quiet as my chaotic urban neighbor is ever going to get anyways! I am with Joanna M here, I always find myself writing at 'cray-o-clock'. Where is Farmhouse located? I love donuts! And Baby Goat Yoga looks fun but I would be afraid that with my luck it would get the urge to use the bathroom right when it climbed on my back! LOL

  6. I'm obsessed with donuts and those look amazing. Goat yoga sounds fun. I've never done it but I bet it's a fun way to work out. Family time is the best. I've enjoyed having all the time with my family and friends lately, too. It's even more special in our new house. Happy New Year sweet friend!
